This Privacy Policy describes how Blackbox AI, Azara, and its affiliates’ websites process personal data and other information through its website (the “Website”) and products (the “Products”), Blackbox AI is the controller for purposes of this Privacy Policy.

 

Personal information we collect

We collect information that alone or in combination with other information in our possession could be used to identify you (“Personal Information”) as follows:

  • Personal Information You Provide: We may collect Personal Information if you create an account to use our Services or communicate with us as follows.

  • Communication Information: If you communicate with us, we may collect your name, contact information, and the contents of any messages you send (“Communication Information”).

  • Personal Information We Collect Through Our Social Media Pages: We have pages on social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Medium, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with our Social Media Pages, we will collect Personal Information that you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details (“Social Information”). In addition, the companies that host our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics regarding the use of our Social Media Pages.

  • Personal Information We Receive Automatically From Your Use of the Services: When you visit, use, and interact with the Services, we may receive certain information about your visit, use, or interactions (“Technical Information”), including the following:

  • Log Data: Information that your browser automatically sends whenever you visit the Site (“log data”). Log data includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, and how you interacted with the Site.

  • Usage Data: We may automatically collect information about your use of the Services, such as the types of content that you view or engage with, the features you use, and the actions you take, as well as your time zone, country, the dates and times of access, user agent and version, type of computer or mobile device, computer connection, IP address, and the like.

  • Online Tracking and Do Not Track Signals: We and our third-party service providers may use cookies or other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of the Site. Our Site currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received.

  • Google Calendar Data: We respect your privacy and ensure that your Google Calendar data remains protected. When using the Azara AI Agents, we will gain access to your Google Calendar events only if you grant us permission via OAuth. The Azara AI Agents will read or create events on your Google Calendar solely based on your explicit instructions provided during the chat interaction. Please be assured that your calendar data is only used during the chat runtime and is never stored statically on any disk. This provision is in place to prioritize the protection of your data privacy.

  • Google Contacts Data: We respect your privacy and ensure that your Google Contacts data remains protected. When using the Azara AI Agents, we will gain read-only access to your Google Contacts information only if you grant us permission via OAuth. The Azara AI Agents will read the names, titles, phone numbers, and email addresses of the contacts solely based on your explicit instructions provided during the chat interaction. Please be assured that your Google contacts data is only used during the chat runtime and is never stored statically on any disk. This provision is in place to prioritize the protection of your data privacy.

  • Google Gmail Data: We respect your privacy and ensure that your Gmail data remains protected. When using the Azara AI Agents, we will gain access to your Google Contacts information only if you grant us permission via OAuth. The Azara AI Agents will get emails or send emails solely based on your explicit instructions provided during the chat interaction. Please be assured that your Gmail data is only used during the chat runtime and is never stored statically on any disk. This provision is in place to prioritize the protection of your data privacy.
     

How we use personal information

We may use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, administer, maintain, improve, and/or analyze the Services;

  • To conduct research, which may remain internal or may be shared with third parties, published or made generally available;

  • To communicate with you;

  • To develop new programs and services;

  • To prevent fraud, criminal activity, or misuse of our Services, and to ensure the security of our IT systems, architecture, and networks; and

  • To comply with legal obligations and legal processes and to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or other third parties.

Aggregated Information. We may aggregate Personal Information and use the aggregated information to analyze the effectiveness of our Services, to improve and add features to our Services, to conduct research (which may remain internal or may be shared with third parties, published,  or made generally available), and for other similar purposes. In addition, from time to time, we may analyze the general behavior and characteristics of users of our Services and share aggregated information like general user statistics with third parties, publish such aggregated information, or make such aggregated information generally available. We may collect aggregated information through the Services, through cookies, and through other means described in this Privacy Policy.
 

Sharing and disclosure of personal information

In certain circumstances, we may share your Personal Information with third parties without further notice to you, unless required by the law, including without limitation in the situations below:

  • Vendors and Service Providers: To assist us in meeting business operations needs and to perform certain services and functions, we may share Personal Information with vendors and service providers, including providers of hosting services, cloud services, and other information technology services providers, event management services, email communication software and email newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, and web analytics services. Pursuant to our instructions, these parties will access, process, or store Personal Information in the course of performing their duties to us.

  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in strategic transactions, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, or transition of service to another provider (collectively a “Transaction”), your Personal Information and other information may be shared in the diligence process with counterparties and others assisting with the Transaction and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that Transaction along with other assets.

  • Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) prevent fraud, (iv) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services, or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.

  • Affiliates: We may share Personal Information with our affiliates, meaning an entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with Blackbox AI. Our affiliates may use the Personal Information we share in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Other Users: certain actions you take may be visible to other users of the Service.
     

Retention of Data

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. Your Personal Data processed upon your consent will be stored for as long as the relevant consent is not withdrawn and until the expiration of claims resulting from the Service. We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
 

Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there. The Company will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information. When we transfer your Personal Data to other countries, we will protect that Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable law. We use contractual protections for the transfer of Personal Data among various jurisdictions (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses referred to in Article 46. 2 c) of the GDPR).
 

Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We use appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the Personal Data you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use, e.g. we maintain backup copies and only authorized personnel may access the Personal Data.
 

Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights, covered by GDPR. We aim to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data. You have the following data protection rights:

  • to access to your Personal Data by requesting sharing and/or sending a copy of all your Personal Data processed by us;

  • to request rectification of inaccurate Personal Data by indicating the data requiring rectification;

  • to request erasure of your Personal Data; we have the right to refuse to erase the Personal Data in specific circumstances provided by law;

  • to request restriction of processing of your Personal Data by indicating the data which should be restricted;

  • to object to processing your Personal Data conducted based on grounds relating to your particular situation;

  • to withdraw the consent to process your Personal Data at any time. Withdrawal of the consent is possible solely in the scope of processing made based on consent. We are authorized to process your Personal Data after withdrawal your consent if we have the legal basis for such processing, for the purposes defined by that legal basis;

  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of Personal Data relating to you infringes GDPR.

Limited Use Disclosure

Azara employs OAuth to obtain user consent for accessing their Google Calendar / Google Contacts / Gmail.

Following explicit user directions given during chat interactions, Azara will:

  • read or creates calendar events

  • read your contacts

  • read your Gmails based on your query

  • send emails on your behalf

The usage of such data is restricted to chat runtime and never statically saved on any disk.

Furthermore, Azara complies with Google API Services User Data Policy, adhering to Limited Use requirements for data use and transfer to other applications.

 

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), provide Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

 

Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

 

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating “effective date” at the top of this page, unless another type of notice is required by the applicable law. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. By continuing to use our Service or providing us with Personal Data after we have posted an updated Privacy Policy, or notified you if applicable, you consent to the revised Privacy Policy and practices described in it.

By using our services, you understand and acknowledge that your personal information will be transferred from your location to our facilities and servers outside the United States.
